O trabalho é uma tentativa de registrar lugares onde morei. A imagem é um mapa aéreo do entorno de onde morei em Porto Feliz, interior de São Paulo; assim como o lugar, esse relevo vai ficar cada vez mais sutil conforme o tempo for passando, até desaparecer por completo. É uma exploração da interseção entre a memória e a efemeridade, uma reflexão sobre nossa relação com o espaço físico e as transformações que ocorrem ao longo do tempo. Essa efemeridade, inerente à técnica de relevo seco, também levanta questões sobre a transitoriedade da própria arte e da nossa conexão com o passado. Enquanto as impressões desaparecem gradualmente, elas nos confrontam com a natureza fugaz das experiências e das recordações. É uma obra que convida à contemplação sobre a impermanência e a constante mutabilidade da vida, desafiando-nos a considerar como nós, assim como os lugares que habitamos, estamos sujeitos ao fluxo do tempo.
The work is an attempt to record places where I have lived. The image is an aerial map of the surroundings of where I lived in Porto Feliz, in the interior of São Paulo; much like the place itself, this relief will become increasingly subtle as time passes, until it disappears completely. It is an exploration of the intersection between memory and ephemerality, a reflection on our relationship with physical space and the transformations that occur over time. This ephemerality, inherent in the dry relief technique, also raises questions about the transience of art itself and our connection to the past. As the impressions gradually fade, they confront us with the fleeting nature of experiences and memories. It is a work that invites contemplation on impermanence and the constant mutability of life, challenging us to consider how we, like the places we inhabit, are subject to the flow of time.
